Public Health Library
The Library is a resource that brings together all types of information on various topics relating to public health and its related information.
This can be research papers, news and events or other topics of interest to our members.
It is powered by iSAC6+ a software platform designed as a Web 2 approach for the management and distribution of citizen’s information services.
The Library will hold files, documents, policy related information etc. on health, public health, health research, gender in health and patient interests, amongst others.
The service allows you to search for topics of interest and it will answer questions too!
If you do not get the answer that you are looking for then you can:
- leave a message for the service to say what you need
and / or
- you can rate how well the system responded to your questions.
Asking a question.
In the information panel you can type the question you want to ask or put in some keywords. Say you were looking for information about gender and health, then you could simply type in the following:
gender health
This would probably give you too many results!
So lets say you had a fairly specific topic, e.g Ethnic Minority Womens Services then the results should be more specific to your need.
